Living with the Seasons

Nature & Environment

Daily contact with sunlight, fresh air, plants, and natural rhythms is foundational to body, mind, and mood.

Humans evolved outdoors. Regular exposure to natural light, green spaces, and seasonal cycles regulates circadian rhythm, lowers stress hormones, and supports immunity.

Persian gardens — the original 'paradise' — were built around water, shade, scent, and seasonal fruit. The principle remains: surround yourself with living things.

Daily practices

  • Step outside within 30 minutes of waking for 5–10 minutes of natural light.
  • Walk in a park, garden, or among trees at least three times per week.
  • Open windows daily; keep plants in living and sleeping spaces.
  • Eat with the seasons — local, fresh produce at its peak.
