A portrait of Moji's parents, aged 93 and 95 — the two people who inspired Holistic Health AI
My parents — today 93 and 95, still walking every morning.

Our Story

This journey didn't begin with technology.
It began with two people I love.

My mother is 93. My father is 95. They still walk together in the morning. They still cook from scratch. They still argue gently about whether the saffron was steeped long enough. Nothing about how they live is remarkable — and that is exactly why I could not stop thinking about it.

Watching them at this age has quietly rearranged what I believe about health. Healthy aging, I have come to understand, is not really about the number of years. It is about waking up with purpose, moving through the day with dignity, and staying independent enough to still be yourself. Living longer is not the goal. Living well is. That is what my parents have — and that is what I want for the people I love, and for anyone paying attention early enough to shape it.

For most of my life I did not see it. Their habits were simply the wallpaper of childhood: soaked walnuts on the counter, herbs on every table, a short walk after every meal, tea in the late afternoon, early nights, family close. It was only later, when people I loved began leaving too soon — in their sixties and seventies, to conditions that could have been slowed or prevented — that the contrast became impossible to ignore.

The people we were losing were not unlucky. They were, in many cases, unguided. They had been handed conflicting advice, aggressive marketing, and a healthcare system that met them at the crisis rather than in the decades before it. My parents, quietly, had been doing the opposite their entire lives — without ever calling it wellness.

That is when prevention became the mission. Not treatment after the fact, not heroic interventions at the end — the small, daily, unglamorous choices that decide how the next thirty years actually feel. Prevention is where the real leverage sits, and it is the part of health almost no one is being carefully guided through.

I wanted the guidance my parents grew up with to be available to the people we were losing.

The question that would not let go was simple: why do some people age with energy and clarity, and others do not? The more I searched, the more the same answers arrived from two very different directions.

On one side, modern longevity research — Mediterranean studies, Blue Zone observations, randomized trials on sleep, movement, fiber, olive oil, and community. On the other, a tradition our family had lived inside for generations: Traditional Persian Medicine, a three-thousand-year lineage that treated food, herbs, sleep, breath, and belonging as one continuous act of care.

They were not enemies. They were, remarkably often, saying the same thing in different languages. And yet almost no one was translating between them. Modern wellness too often discarded the tradition as folklore. Traditional practitioners sometimes distrusted the science. People in the middle — people simply trying to make one better decision this week — were left with neither. That is why we chose to hold both traditions honestly, side by side, instead of promoting one over the other. Neither has the whole answer alone. Together, they come remarkably close.

Holistic Health AI exists because I did not want my parents' way of living to be lost, and I did not want anyone to have to choose between the wisdom of their grandparents and the evidence of a good trial. I wanted a place where both could sit at the same table, honestly, and where the reader could hear what each has to say without being sold anything — because trustworthy health guidance is increasingly rare, and people deserve somewhere they can go without being sold supplements, subscriptions, or fear.

I am not a doctor. I am a son, a parent, and someone who has spent years reading late at night and asking better questions. What we have built here is what I wished had existed when I first started looking: patient, plainly written, free, and unafraid to say "we are not certain yet."

My Promise

This is a personal commitment, not a marketing statement. It is the standard I hold this mission to on every page of this site.

  • If modern scientific evidence provides a clear answer, we will show it to you plainly.
  • If Traditional Persian Medicine offers valuable insight, we will explain it honestly and in context.
  • If the evidence is uncertain, we will tell you that openly — instead of pretending.
  • We will never promote one tradition over another. Each is here on its own merits.
  • Our goal is to help you make informed, healthier decisions using the best knowledge available — and nothing more than that.

Thank you for trusting us enough to spend time here.

We hope Holistic Health AI becomes a place you return to throughout your journey toward a longer, healthier, and happier life — surrounded by the care of good knowledge, and the warmth of the people behind it.
