Chapter 1 of 17
Dandelion
The Essentials

The leaf is the most vitamin- and potassium-dense of the common bitter greens, with as much vitamin K as a small kale leaf and as much potassium per gram as most bananas.
Root and leaf do different jobs. The root is the classical liver and biliary herb, roasted, decocted or extracted. The leaf is the classical diuretic (makes you pass more urine), and a small human trial documented a measurable increase in urine volume within hours.
