Purpose. Bind together every document a reviewer needs to determine whether Chapter 1 Draft v1.0 satisfies the approved Blueprint v4 and its Success Criteria. This packet is a validation instrument, not an authoring document. No content revisions, rewrites, polishing, additional examples, or expansions may be made to Chapter 1 while this packet is active. If validation identifies deficiencies, they are documented first; revisions may only begin after review findings are formally approved.

The three source documents are read-only for the duration of this review. Any change requires reopening the corresponding governance gate.

Part B — Success Criteria (verbatim, from Blueprint v4 §3)

Chapter 1 succeeds when an uncoached first-time reader — a contributor who has never seen the manual — can, without re-opening the chapter:

State what the Living Library is, in one sentence, in their own words.
State why it exists, by naming at least two of the three failures it was built to correct.
Describe what makes it different from an ordinary health website (teaching vs. marketing / translating / repeating).
Explain, in one sentence, why this construction manual was written.
Describe how the manual is used — that every editorial decision is tested against §1.5 and §1.1 and resolved as proceed / defer / rework.
Identify the kitchen-table reader as the audience every guide serves.
Recall at least three of the four reader promises.
Recall at least three of the five refusals in §1.4.

Threshold. A reader who can do 6 of 8 unaided passes the chapter. Fewer than 6 triggers a revision, not a re-test of a different reader.

Part C — Validation Matrix (Success Criterion ↔ Draft Section)

Every Success Criterion is mapped to the exact section(s) of Chapter 1 Draft v1.0 intended to satisfy it. If a criterion has no section, the chapter cannot pass validation as designed.

Coverage check. All eight Success Criteria are covered by at least one drafted section. No orphaned criterion. No unmapped section (chapter close is transitional and outside SC scope by design; see Blueprint §2 chapter close).

Part E — Manual Validation Kit for Chapter 1

The Kit is executed in strict order. A later gate may not begin before the previous gate is closed with a recorded decision. AI Advisory Pre-Check is advisory only and cannot override Uncoached First-Time Human Validation.

E.1 Editorial Review (first gate)

Purpose. Confirm the drafted text follows the approved Blueprint architecture and the Hakim Voice Standards, without judging teaching efficacy (that is the reader's job in E.3).

Reviewer. Editorial lead. Not the author of the draft. Not the founder (the founder is Final Approval, gate E.4).

Instrument.

Every §1.x section from Blueprint §2 appears in the draft, in order, at approximately the specified length.
Media used matches Blueprint §2 exactly: one comparison table (§1.1), one three-node diagram (§1.2), two callouts (§1.3 kitchen-table reader; §1.5 Four Promises; §1.6 Decision Test — three callouts observed, within the "callout" media type approved for §1.3, §1.5, §1.6).
No photography, no illustration, no timeline appears anywhere in the chapter (Blueprint §2, "Why no photography in Chapter 1").
No contributor voice, no marketing voice, no academic hedging appears. Hakim voice throughout.
No content is present that does not belong to one of the eight Success Criteria or to the approved chapter close.
Persian, editorial, and framework terms (Hakim voice, kitchen-table reader) are defined on first use.
Reading level is US grade 9 or below (subjective at this gate; formal check optional).

E.2 AI Advisory Pre-Check (second gate, advisory only)

Purpose. Surface obvious clarity, ambiguity, or structural risks before a human reader is scheduled. Advisory only. Cannot fail the chapter and cannot substitute for E.3.

Prompted checks.

Identify any paragraph a first-time reader is likely to misread.
Identify any term used before it is defined.
Identify any sentence that could be shortened without loss of meaning.
Identify any callout that could be mistaken for body text or vice versa.
Identify any place where the tone drifts from Hakim voice toward marketing, academic, or personal-blog voice.

Output. Advisory Findings Log, appended to this packet. Each finding is Major / Minor / Note. Major findings must be reviewed before E.3 is scheduled; they do not by themselves block the chapter.

E.3 Uncoached First-Time Human Validation (third gate, primary authority)

Purpose. Determine whether an uncoached first-time reader satisfies the Success Criteria after a single read at normal pace. This is the primary validation gate; nothing overrides its result.

Reader profile. Has never seen Chapter 1, the Blueprint, or any earlier draft. Is a plausible future contributor / editor / reviewer of Living Library guides (Blueprint §1.6, primary audience). One reader per session.

Instrument.

Observer checklist: Blueprint §4.1 (10 items).
Reader tasks: Blueprint §4.2 (4 tasks).
Reader questions: Blueprint §4.3 (10 questions, asked in order, unprompted answers only).
Pass criteria: Blueprint §4.4 in full.
Hard blockers: Blueprint §4.5. Any single hard blocker forces revision and cannot be resolved by re-testing a different reader.

E.4 Final Approval (fourth gate)

Purpose. Founder sign-off that Editorial Review, AI Advisory Pre-Check, and Human Validation each closed with a recorded decision, and that the results support freezing Chapter 1 at v1.0.

Instrument.

Editorial Review decision recorded and, if Revise, all findings resolved and re-checked.
AI Advisory Pre-Check findings recorded and acknowledged.
Uncoached First-Time Human Validation closed with Pass and no hard blocker triggered.
Validation Matrix reviewed against the reader's actual answers; no Success Criterion silently unmet.
Change Log entry drafted for the Manual TOC recording Chapter 1 v1.0 as frozen.

E.5 Freeze Decision (fifth and final gate)

Purpose. Convert Final Approval into a permanent lock. Once frozen, Chapter 1 v1.0 may only be reopened through the Living Library governance and versioning process (Manual TOC Part III §12).

Chapter 1 marked "FROZEN — v1.0" in the file header and in the preview.
Manual TOC Change Log updated with the freeze entry and date.
Chapter 2 authorized to begin (Blueprint stage only; no drafting).
